Q And Not U's third, and sadly final album sees them veer (slightly) more towards pop, funk and more conventional arrangements than their previous two, more math rock-oriented long-players. There's maybe not quite as much killer material this time, but it's still definitely worth getting, with the upbeat 'Wonderful People', raucous 'X-Polynation', groove-laden 'Book of Flags' and wistful 'Throw Back Your Head' the highlights. The cold and wintry 'District Night Prayer' is also worthy of a mention.
However, it's worth mentioning that the CD mastering is very loud and heavily compressed, so the LP is the best way of listening.
