Donato Dozzy opens his RA.105 podcast with Meanwhile (Xhale Mix) - absolutely sublime.referencing R U Oho? (12", EP, 33 ⅓ RPM) foc354
A1: Electronic. Techno BPM. Nearly follows a template of languid weighty meandering bass synth with near wind chime synths intricately placed on top. This may seem like a criticism but it's not when done this well. [TEN]
A2: Electronica. Just on the pacey side with exquisite beats this time the synthwork has a more unsettling sound and would almost cause you to shiver were you not so entranced. Sounds like a dark dream about Fritz Langs Metropolis. [GOLDTEN]
A3: Electronica. Like the A2, just on the pacey side with exquisite beats, synthwork again a more unsettling sound but the bass drum is much more prevalent punching like a proper electro track. Dark and gorgeous. [TEN]
B1: BPM changing electronica. Subtle beats and plinky piano synth tips along nicely before it changes tempo with fast breakbeat drums. The piano synth increases in intensity and further synths are layered in. The beats are pulled for the outro and is gradually stripped down. Practically unusable with dramatic tempo shift, however the second half is a techno pace so you could open with it. Brilliant. [GOLDTEN]
B2: Electronica. Dreamier version of the standout from Lacklusters previous ep. Very Boards of Canada. [NINE]
B3: Electronica. It begins ubtle as a summer breeze. This etheral piece is barely rooted in a slight train track beat. Typical dreamy deFocus synths float out though gain a leser wall of noise as the first section builds to a climax. Neatly programmed beats propel the second phase while keeping it's dream sequence vibe. Relax. [TEN]
