- Edited 4 years agothe Blue\Green vinyl was the first pressing done, methinks...or maybe it's just the first one to get into some circulation...it has since been pressed in black, red, purple and brown marbled vinyl...
- Edited 8 years agoThese demos were actually recorded in July of 1982, at Total Access Studios in Redondo Beach, CA, and were produced by famed SST label producer Spot.
The band never paid Spot for the studio time, and never got the masters in order to release the recording. Despite this fact, the recording circulates amongst collectors in varying degrees of completeness...
This bootleg is surprisingly solid, though only featuring about 3/4s of the songs of the complete session...
there are blue\green vinyl and black vinyl copies of this...whether they are different pressings isn't clear... - not too bad for a bootleg of demos. 1st track on side 1 starts quiet like the levels are being messed with and track B2, Something has a couple of dropouts. still good to have. my press is green vinyl
