Harmonia – Musik Von Harmonia

Musik von Harmonia sounds like early morning slowly unfolding through synthesizers. It’s as if light itself had learned to make music – warm, clear, and yet somehow unfamiliar. Rother, Roedelius, and Moebius don’t write songs in the traditional sense – they build soundscapes.

What stands out is how natural this music feels, despite its electronic origins. At times, it almost resembles a modern memory of ancient, medieval harmonies – like Gregorian chants filtered through a mixing desk and dissolved into sunlight.

The track “Sehr kosmisch” is a perfect example: floating, gently pulsating, full of calm yet tinged with mystery – like a quiet walk through time and light.

Musik von Harmonia isn’t music that tries to impress or overwhelm. It leads you, slowly and almost casually, into different states of mind. And sometimes, within the hypnotic flow, you feel like you’re catching glimpses of ancient melodies wrapped in a futuristic glow.

The remixes are just pointless and I don't know why they are even included. The original sounds great.

Definitely the cd version to own. Dosent have the slight dropouts on the last minute and a half of Watussi, like on the Grönland reissue. This is an inherently lo-fi album so it's never going to incredible but the tracks really do sound a bit richer than my lp reissue. There is also more tape hiss on this issue, but it's not distracting, it sounds natural and disappears when the songs get louder. I'm hoping the Zuckerzeit reissue from this series sounds as good.

My copy sounds perfectly fine to me. It’s totally flat and a high quality pressing. $19 brand new at my local shop. Can’t complain about that.

am i the only one who noticed some digital glitches on the first 2 tracks? or do all versions of the album have that?

Wish this had just been the standard album without the remixes, but the mastering and pressing sounds great.

Gorgeous sounding vinyl. Really punches in the low end, and has a lot of depth.

Thoroughly enjoyed this, although the remixes kind of kill the mood a bit after the trance the album puts you in. Great sound quality throughout, though.
