Bought new. Fourth disc was missing the label. I told the shop owner that was the first time I've ever had this happen. He said it was Jack White's printing plant. Wtf! Jack decided to start printing his own vinyl?

Yeah Richie Starfingers - you got it right!! My copy is exactly as you described - pretty package, sibilance issues, surface noise i.e. pops and crackles. Probably the cheap vinyl. Can't recommend this one, as others have nice packaging as well...
(could be the batch - my set-up is tweaked. if there's sibilance it's the vinyl...)

i agree 100% on the cutting engineers etchings lol. Wes also did the 2022 cut and maybe some others i am not aware of, Heh i bet if allowed, Bernie grundman would probably etch the same thing for every DSOTM "re-issue" they pump out for any occasion. Elephant is kinda feelin the same. come on jack, just make one and done that suites your ears and enough with these re-issues. UHQR, AP Tape, XX edition(mono?) SACD. Now we just need the cassette printed on high quality cr02 tape. maybe the betamax and laserdisc while your at it.

Well, I am an idiot. I got trigger shy at the show and instead of spending $100 there, I pulled the trigger a month later for a lot more than that. Oh well, had to have it and with only 100 copies in existence, I am glad I now do! Totally worth it.

The splatter effect is gorgeous on these discs. It is handmade art as far as I am concerned. This and the exclusive Fear of the Dawn are really cool pieces of a historical show.

This is probably the crown jewel of my record collection

One of the best releases I've bought in a very long time. This is an album that had hits, but when you listen to it you realise the whole thing is 🔥.
To me this is like listening to one of the best sounding Led Zeppelin albums in the best possible sound. This has everything. Tunes, clarity, bass, crunch, warmth, insane dynamics and silent vinyl. Ball and Biscuit loud is as good as any Zeppelin, Hendrix or Sabbath tune I've ever heard!
Also after a few ultrasonic cleans, this thing is finally black silent. Listen in headphones, close your eyes and you are in another dimension.
              Get it while you can!

Mine came with a long scratch. Barely audible click because of it. Overall the sound is great. Strong soundstage and imaging with depth. Seems to pack more low end than I’ve heard from my CD. Surface noise is barely noticeable.

I have mixed feelings about this release. The packaging is really premium, the coloured vinyl is really cool and solid 180g heavyweight. The audio has some imperfections such as the sibilance on You’ve Got Her In Your Pocket, and some quite prominent clicks and pops on LIttle Acorns, and in some other quieter sections of the record. But overall, my copy is pretty solid, and still an enjoyable listen of one of the all time great albums. Be interested to see how many copies was pressed of this ‘limited run’…

I know there are some “audiophiles” out there losing their minds over these “Clarity Vinyl” (which is in and of itself a bit gimmicky) UHQR pressings. Just finished spinning this and is there more sonic clarity? Yes. Is it worth the price tag? No. There’s quite a bit of surface noise (even after a proper cleaning) on my copy which, unfortunately, interferes with the sonic clarity. I’ve read of similar problems in other Discogs reviews for other releases in this series. I’m also not a fan of the wooden spine. If you ask me, they should’ve made it flush as any normal box set usually is, with proper storage in mind. The word “definitive” is thrown around the vinyl community entirely too much when reviewing higher end releases such as these. I wouldn’t call this release definitive. Furthermore, I’d always question overstated reviews of higher end pressings and look for more honest, realistic ones. It’s a nice package with a high quality jacket, but, especially for the money, there are just as good, if not better, pressings out there. And, for the record (pun intended), Chad Kassem isn’t some kind of a vinyl god. For all the supposed passion he has for vinyl, watching a video of his is comparable to watching paint dry. Maybe he should pour more of that deadpan passion into quality control at AP. Just saying. Bottom line: this release promises more than what it delivers.

Wow…this pressing sounds amazing. Punchy and crystal clear..the guitars sound like a real amp.
Zero surface noise at all. The way to tell if you get this 2022 copy is the barcode ending in “4019”.
Not pressed at United…I’m sure of that.

For anyone wondering, this pressing along with the other exclusives sold during this event were supposedly 100 dollars each and are limited to 100 each. This is just information I have gathered from other sellers on eBay. All of these records also came with an outer sleeve with a third man records limited edition sticker on it.
