Edited 4 months agoCompared with the 2016 reissues of these two albums (Piper and Saucerful), this one is so much more impressive: bright, punchy and full of spirit where the represses sound dull and muffled.- Channels are reversed on The Piper At the Gates Of Down
- I have a version like this one but with Sendung as the last word on labels. Without Vorbehaiten and 1 word Urheber. I have found labels like this but with cat number 172-50 203/204 )) All 148-50 203/204 have Vorbehaiten and Urheber
- The depth and three dimensionality of this recording is truly Mind-blowing. One of the best sounding vinyl you'll ever lay your hands on. Long live Syd Barrett!
- Yup, these sound explosive and incredible. I also own an original U.K. of Piper and the sound is nowhere near as good. Seems to have been some issues with the initial pressing run. Another affordable option is the Dutch Milestones twofer which is equal to this one here. Both absolutely exceptional pressings.
Beautiful presentation as you would expect from Japanese pressings. Quality gatefold and booklet.

Very nice sounding version. Does anybody know the release year from this version?- The copy I just obtained has a photograph of Atom Heart Mother and Ummagumma albums placed on top of a record player. The photo is stuck on top of the top right image, and I can just see the edge of Dr Phang's sign underneath. Anyone else seen that, or is this just a personal customisation? Quite odd - I am wondering why somebody would do that!
- Shouldn't this be listed under Compilations? just sayin, general releases are cluttered enough
