I heard that the Spanish release has a different mix. Is that true?

Sounds amazingly good. I'm rediscovering this album, which is now in my top 5 of the band. Highly recommended.

I have this pressing and my overall opinion of it is that it is a very decent mastering of the original stereo mix. There seems to be a treble boost here (in common with all the other Odeon Japanese Floyd records I've heard), and whether or not this is a desirable EQ choice is debatable. Both my Holland pressing (with what appears to be UK stampers) and my CP32 CD are a bit more forward where this pressing appears to be slightly more relaxed and airy, but still generally well balanced, and without being particularly analytical. I still have yet to compare the 2011 mastering with any of these, and I have a 1978 French pressing on the way. The original recording has a slightly hazy, grainy quality to begin with so I don't really expect a substantial improvement among any of them. The CP32 CD from Japan has been my baseline for a while though, possibly being the closest thing to a flat transfer from the source that I've heard.

i have to say i'm generally really happy with this pressing. very lively, good separation on my system. some hiss and slightly muddy vocals in "corporal clegg" but that may be down to the recording itself. drums and instruments and dynamics are amazing and the vinyl is dead silent between tracks. my system can be a bit unforgiving in that regard so like i said i'm overall really impressed.

Mix is extremely low, verging on muffled. I liked the Piper mono mix by this same crew, which is very balanced, a lot; this one, not my cup of tea.

Returned my first copy due to excess noise on B1 and random crackle throughout the rest of the side even after a thorough cleaning. A-Side was fine. Replacement copy had the same noise. Has anyone else had similar issues?

Either i got a hot stamper or this record sounds incredibly good...

This sounds great! I had never heard the mono version until now and might prefer to the stereo. Regarding this pressing specifically, my side B is missing it's label. Anyone else encounter this so far?

Ah, yes.. the cheap fake flipback sleeve again! Would have happily paid two Euros more for a real, laminated one (like the Beatles Mono Reissues have). I know, it's about the sound quality and all. But still: vinyl has a haptic side

It’s a Pink Floyd Records release so label should be Pink Floyd Records
