Maybe a controversial take but I've always preferred this album over Uberjam, I keep this CD in my house and in my car (two copies) it's so fun to listen to while I clean or cook or go for a long drive. I wish they'd press this one on vinyl too!

Have another listen. Yes it is more laidback than Uberjam and has a looser summery feel.(One track is called "Endless Summer").John Scofield's playing is on top form and his guitar tone is full of colour and fire.

Fans of the first Überjam album might want to give it listen before buying. It doesn't come close and also doesn't follow the same coherent theme. Überjam Deux sounds bored and boring in many places. It has some nice Afrobeat elements in 2 songs, but most of the songs seem lifeless, without any drama.
