This is a great pressing of Stephen’s greatest album. Haven’t heard the Classic but hard to see how it can get much better than this one. Both BG, this one done just one year after the Classic.

This pressing sounds like a million bucks....absolutely Destroys the Classic Records!!

Philips and Monarch pressings are guaranteed to have the great sounding Al Brown cut (cursive "aB" in runouts) on both sides. Most other pressings either have it only on one side, or not have it at all.

This is a pretty solid pressing in my opinion. Sounds very clear, the drums and horns in particular sound quite good.

Contrary to the below comment, i found mine to be overly bright and even a bit shrill at times. Not very good of a pressing in my experience.

Picked this up for $3 in the Amoeba clearance section (in 2023!) since I knew the absolute bop that is Love the One You're With. Couldn't be happier – record is in fantastic condition. Sleeve, schmeeve!

SOUNDS AMAZING. When the backup vocals come in during the chorus of Love the One... whew! Never heard it quite like this before.

Surprising there are no reviews on this yet! This was never the greatest recording in the world, but this pressing does a really good job of highlighting some strengths that the original seems to lack - overall a very full sound, really tight bass, and high-end that pierces through nicely (especially on Clapton's solo on "Go Back Home". When compared to the US original and a Japanese reissue this one wins by a mile - the others sound thin in comparison. The jacket is also really well-done fwiw - thick tip-on that recreates the texturing of the original.

Absolutely solid pressing by Artisan, along with just about everything else that Artisan cut, definitely recommended.
