"Your Love Takes Me Higher" was issued as a standalone single, with various remixes, in late 1988/early 1989. Following the success of the song "Hello" and the Happiness album in 1990, the single was re-released with new artwork and two more remixes.

Is that the apache break on this remix? I’ve loved the blissed out album since it came out & played it at least once a month since.
Edited 3 years agoRegarding "Your Love Takes Me Higher (Deep Joy)", the version on this and other UK releases is a slightly early fade. The full-length version on the US releases continues for about 20 more seconds. Also at 4:51, there's a mastering error which results in a distracting click in the middle of the hard-transform effect. This error is not present on the US promo CD.

The Baby Brothers are apparently Steve Waddington and Martyn Philips. Jon was feeling a bit too 'blissed out' to participate in the remix session.
fantastic mixes of this top tune from the late 80's. this track is an early blueprint to deep house and progressive house format that emerged in nightclubs several years later. classic!- The Juan Atkins Mix is money. Acid stomper that still sounds fresh today. Absolute masterpiece.
