Reviews
- Great album, on par with their prior stuff including The Sun and the Moon. Really reminds me of The Cure's Wish, as it's a lavish and atmospheric Dave Allen production of a veteran band absorbing their alt rock pupil's influence and reshaping it in their unique style along with some spectacular guitar work.

As others have stated the sound quality is amazing! I really do wish that Discogs would make separate rating systems for sound quality (pressing, mastering, etc..) and how much people 'like' an album. Would love to know who pressed this, I am not familiar with the runout matrix. Abbey Rd remastering is great. referencing Why Call It Anything (CD, Album) ARTFULCD39
Watching one of your favorite bands swing and miss is not easy.
On paper, it's a waking dream of everyone you'd want involved, collaborating. I was excited to learn what was in the works.
Maybe it sounds okay. Or good, or better. It doesn't matter, because the tunes simply do not deliver. At all.
The lads just could not produce a record that was at least ten percent of their prior output.
Far from the worst record you'll ever hear, but far, far away from the best of Chameleons' records.
At first, you'll think you just need some time to absorb and appreciate. But the hour never arrived for me.
This record was a true disappointment, and it never grew on me. I gave it many years.
Yet so many other of their tracks still bring tears, they are so good and strike that deep, emotional resonance. They were and are an incredible band. This record does not portray that.referencing Why Call It Anything (2×LP, Album, Reissue, Remastered, Special Edition, Coloured) BAMLP19
I have a special arrangement with the chameleons (in my head) if they put it out I’m going to buy it. This record sounds great!- Edited 5 years ago

Amazing album, amazing press. Beautiful mastering makes it one of the best sounding vinyl records in my collection.
