My favourite renditions of the first OMD songs are here, in this Peel Sessions compilation. You don't hear the over produced later version of "Messages", but the imperfect but beautiful first one. You can listen to a version of Enola Gay that lacks the keyboard riff whatever the reason, and, thankfully, the best of all, you can listen OMD at their punkiest, youngest and funniest in their new wave big hits of "Red Frame/White Light", their cover of "The More I See You" or "Bunker Soldiers".

Later albums have their virtues, but somehow I prefer this OMD, that were at the same time Kraftwerk, The Human League and the first The Cure.
