- I have seen two copies of this release and both were damaged due to being stored in a PVC sleeve for a long time.
The damage produces a constant noise that is (fortunately) virtually inaudible during both tracks, apart from the intro and outro. - Plain and simple.....Moonshine is a classic Goa Trance Masterpiece and every time I listen to it that assertion is reinforced for me. Thanks to Cosmosis for bringing forth this incredible 10 minutes of Goa Trance perfection. If I could only own 10 Goa Trance tracks, this would be one of them. Just brilliant.........
- Edited one year agoFor me this is the best post-"Cosmology" ep from Bilbo Bagginz, aka Cosmosis. He adopts a more serious, darker approach here than his usual Frank Zappa of Goa vibe, and it is all to the better imo. Always a wiz at arpeggios, we get some very trippy scales here. "Moonshine" is the better track for me and features a really really cool bassline - but we know that Cosmosis were always top at basslines as well as melodies. Ripping noises, fluttering arpeggios, what else do we need? "The Outer Limits" is also worth a spin. I should also mention that it is one of the few picture discs in Goa vinyl history, and an idiomatic one at that. Nicely collectible (even though picture discs never sound as good as solid vinyl). ~*~
