Will Wilco ever record an uninspired or less than great sounding record? I think not. At least I haven’t heard it yet. Great songs, great sounding vinyl, as everything else I have from them in my vinyl collection.- Does anyone know why there are two variants listed here with the same external barcode?
8714092745917 is listed here as pink\white, but also shows up with the same barcode in green. referencing Schmilco (LP, Album, 180 gram) 87259-1
I have the black vinyl version that I ordered directly from Wilco. My runout etchings are 87259-1-A, not 87239.referencing Schmilco (LP, Promo) 872591
I've seen claims in multiple places that this is /200. Can anyone confirm or find a source of this info?referencing Schmilco (LP, Album, 180 gram) 87259-1
I have the 180g pressing, and it sounds very good. Absolutely no surface noise. Very clean, and warm sounding.referencing Schmilco (LP, Album, 180 gram) 87259-1
One of the warmest pressings I've ever heard. And this album is a dark masterpiece. Their most minimalist ever, while still retaining the sense of adventure that populates their best work.- Stick with the black vinyl for this one. I had an orange copy, it was noisy, didn't sound good. I emailed the label, and they were kind enough to send a replacement black copy. Black copy sounds amazing, and it reminded me of why I love vinyl so much.
- Can anyone tell the European pink from the UK white/pink version? I do have both of them (just bought the UK version) and cannot tell the difference? Thanks.

Shmilco is the amazing result of a band that continues to change. Only the godfathers of Midwestern indie/folk could have crafted such an organic statement of brevity: the work of veteran sound smiths who have been bombastic in the past, and now are comfortable just bellowing out their niche, Neil Young-influenced brand of indie rock.referencing Schmilco (LP, Album, Gatefold) 7259-1
My European copy is more than average warped and has a crack at side 1 track 1 and 2.
Too bad I can't change it (because it was bought during the sales of Mediamarkt Belgium).
