I can't believe that there was not more of a scream when this album came out on this format. I was sceptical it could be a simple port from CD to the SACD format but no - this is a full remaster by Simon Heyworth and the artwork has been touched up (without being changed) by Rina Cheung @ Pixelsurgeon. This is the superior release (so far).

The clarity and space given in SACD format is breathtaking - track 2 Tintinnabulum showcases everything to come. The dynamic range and clarity of sound from the ultra subtle opening to the bass heavy, Miriam Stockley wailing belter, as if fired up into speaking in tongues just shows how limited the depth and dynamics the original release has, and the extent of progression in mastering as an audio-art between the original release (1995) and the SACD (2003).

So when is the 2 x 45rpm Vinyl release coming out? 2015 20th anniversary?

karl jenkins, the london philharmonic orchestra and this voice are simply magic. My favorite tracks: "Amaté Adea" (quite sad), "kayama" (seems african sound ^^) and "Cantus Insolitus" . Don't try to understand the lyrics, there's not. just the sound that a voice can produce.

Excellent, groundbreaking music. Miriam Stockley has a vibrant, South African vocal style that evokes a powerful message of world youth in united refrain. Her tracks here, like her more recent tracks in the Aomusic project are fresh and inspiring. This debut album from Adiemus is timeless and the nine songs are consistently strong in depth and composition.

Uplifting fusion of orchestral, sampled ethnic percussion and outstanding multi-layered vocals by Miriam Stockley. She has a vast stylistic range from ethnic/tribal through folk/celtic to classical/operatic & almost 'pop'.
