Reviews
- Edited 6 years agoI normally don't comment if I'm not fond of a record, but this record really does stand out to me as one of the outliers of the SUF catalog. The original "Acid War" and the related SUFR release are brilliant (and I know lots of people like 404 and a few other DOM tracks), but this record is very underwhelming to my ears and brain, and sort of memorable for that reason.
Granted, I don't dislike it as intensely as I used to, and if you like noisy, clangy techno, you might find a place for a couple of these tracks in your sets. But for me personally, this is not the typical London-acid sound of SUF, nor is it on par with the best acid-less techno under the larger SUF umbrella.
To be fair, I got a white-label copy of this as a promo, so I'm happy to have it as part of my larger (and not-quite-complete-but-close) SUF collection, but you won't hear me use it too often.
