- A £1 bargain from a car boot. Took a punt as the front cover looked interesting. It's a fantastic listen. I've loved Aimee Mann from 'Lost in Space' onwards. Had absolutely no idea she was in the band, but when her voice comes in on track 1, it's unmistakable. A brilliant find.

The perfect place to start for first time Aimee Mann listeners showcasing a timeless shimmering jangle pop sound of perfectly crafted tight polished and well executed songs filled with lyrical sadness hurt melancholy despair and disappointment.
A timeless pop masterpiece & one of the finest pop albums of the late 80s.- Stunning album! Aimee Mann is such a wonderful songwriter with a beautiful unique voice, 33 years later this record sounds as fresh as when it was released, so many memories....there's not a bad song in here but my top 4 are "Why Must I", " J For Jules", "Long Gone (Buddy)" and the "The Other Hand" sung with Elvis Costello.
