This was the bigger, badder, older brother to all i do.. Wicked bump n flex remixes & even the one with Harvey is decent as it changed the bassline in pitch.. For me, it is all about the jazz n groove mix though, they;ve done an amazing job.. so much soul & groove to it which just oozes class & quality. Always play this in a garage set, although there's just not many tunes which will match itreferencing Promises (12", Promo) UHT 005
Hi Budnik/Anyone,
I know this seems like a weird question, But if anyone knows the name of the girl who sings on this track, please could you let me know urgently. She was also a member of a small girl band prior to this.
I would be eternally gratefulreferencing Promises (2×12", Maxi-Single) FXX 404
For me, it's all about the Bump & Flex Vocal Mix, although the Hardstep Dub got the plays back in the day. This to me, is exactly how UK Garage should sound, and did - when i was a real head. Now, it disheartens me to see how its gone.
This is a very R&B flavoured cut. It's got that typical Bump & Flex groove with the mildly warping bassline and crisp breaks. It's also got those slinky bad attitude female vocals, which i kinda like. They fit the groove well. Melody comes from some nice stabs and guitar. It's very reminiscent of Grants "N'n'G feat Kallaghan "Right Before My Eyes" (which was a big hit in the UK).
This track should have been big, but it never got the push or marketing it deserved. Shame, good track.
