Stan Getz / Charlie Byrd – Jazz Samba

Simply wonderful! Music, recording and transfer to high quality vinyl pressing … all top notch. Top recommendation for this partially overlooked release (i.e. vs. Getz/Gilberto). Here is the US kick-off into a great jazz bossa nova/samba era.

Acoustic sounds sets the bar so high then then meets it so often. Great mastering and pressing.

Stunningly beautiful pressing. Chad and Co from Acoustic Sounds/QRP/Analogue Productions, hit another home run… I don’t deserve to have access to such a superb offering. I’m so far beneath this level of beauty, craftsmanship, and soul healing sound, that I should probably be put out of my misery.

For me, this is the ultimate version of this release.
It‘s cheap and sounds huge, one of best sounding jazz records in my collection (alongside Mofi, Tone peots and AS releases).

Interesting label, but sadly pressing (or lacquer) quality not up to standard. Noisy vinyl has lots of crackles.

Very nice warm pressing. The stereo image is nicely separated. No surface noise, dead quiet vinyl. I would recommend this version.

Another in the 'waaaaaay better sounding than I expected' series of LPs, this time from WaxTime. Beautifully holographic stereo-mix, with silky smooth fidelity & good bass. Heavyweight vinyl is flat & dead-silent.
