- Edited 7 months agoA must in any acid collection, of course maybe you're tired of listening to both tracks but, do you remember how you felt the first time you listened to them? yeah, that's why you'll listen again.
This repress is pressed loud as f, straight to blow up your ears.
One night in Hackney is one of those "joke" intended tracks that end up being an absolute iconic classic. It's simple, it's funny, it's hard, it's ACID. The last part, acid line comes as hard as a chair in your face, and I think it's beautiful.
Village in Kent on the other side, is a hard rollin' hardtechno jewel -despite acid is present but subtle- very percussive and hypnotic; love to bring this to any mix, can't stop jumping. - Do I need to say more?
Hard-heads and techno lovers from back in the day, 2003/4 if I’m not mistaken will for sure know these dark techno-grooved monsters.
One night in Hackney is the main track here, pumping & groovy techno sounds leading upto very dark and sinister vocal telling the story of a guy visiting the nightlife of UK’s Hackney village. Ultimately ending up drugged & drunk this track introduces filthy bits of acid.
Village in Kent is an absolute gem and a real take away on this release aswel.
This time the dark & groovy stuff is a bit more tightened lead by some awesome percussion & various stabs. No vocal but pure dark madness wich blends perfect with my hardhouse sets referencing One Night In Hackney (12") S.U.F. 69:000 m.g.
Stone-cold classic DAVE The Drummer. Just don't ask him to play it if you ever meet him...apparently he is sick to the back teeth of people screaming "15 cans of Stella" at himreferencing One Night In Hackney (12") S.U.F. 69:000 m.g.
Entertainingly thumping 'homage' to The Horrorist's 'One Night In NYC' with spoken word vocals about a very large night out in Hackney (East London). Plus there's a huge crapload of honking aciiiiiiieeed at the end. Great party track!
