Could anybody help? - I've owned various copies of this release inc the 'Get On Down' 12 track & the Auralux version that has the correctly titled tracks ,a good sleeve & interesting extras ..but not a great improvement IMO regarding sound.
In the mid 90s there was a printed overview of Perrys releases(in 'the Wire' magazine)that said the 200 or so original copies were mixed like 'an esquivel lp' ..I guess meaning separate channels for instruments, vox ,percussion etc .It also said a 'noisy grade z vinyl' copy had been repressed via Coxsone.
So is the RE LP 0115 (US) or the Italian 2004 press copy worth purchasing to obtain a near 'Original Sound' of this historic & vital release ??
I'm not too concerned if it has an incorrect label or info ...'so it goes ' with many JA recordings ,but a near original sound & separation & 14 tracks .....thanks

Whatever if channel left & right were inverted, fellas you must know that most of Auralux re-releases have a compressed sound, I'm affraid to see that some folks are ready to put 200 bucks on the table to get a heavy compressed sound. I like bass but wtf are you doing folks ?

THIS IS FAKE JAMAICA BUSINESS!!

These records pictured are just a copies of this repress with photo copies of the original label pasted on them:
https://www.discogs.com/Upsetters-Blackboard-Jungle-Dub/release/2511185
You can see by the label ring doesn't match any original copies of blackboard jungle.
(Please note this repress uses the original stampers so it will have the same matrix)

This Jamaican seller has ripped people off by doing this and sold this on Ebay for over $1000
He has just printed the label from a previous Ebay sale.

This job is so bad. That is why there are no song titles listed on side 2 because in the popsike photo he printed for the labels it only shows side A so he erased the song titles on side B. How bad is this?
Here is the link to the exact photo he printed:
https://www.popsike.com/Original-Black-Board-Jungle-Dub-LP-Upsetter-Blackboard/180778254106.html
(Notice the name "Desmond" written in pen) That you can CLEARLY see on his photo copies!! And he wrote "Miss Pat" over top of it on one of the sides to try to conceal it.

Here is the link to his Ebay auction where this Jamaican seller sold it as fraud:

Beware of fraud

Truly good luck. I already had the Clocktower pressing, but this one looked too cool. But when I first heard the split stereo and dub version of The Hurricanes You Can Run (The Hurricanes (2) / The Upsetters - You Can Run / You Can Dub) I was more than happy with it. By the way, A4 Elephant Rock is the one I'm talking about and this is a killer, that is not on the Clocktower Version anyway. :-)

Tashi Delek or Albert Hofstein or whoever you are :

All Auralux releases have compressed sound, all Blood&Fire releases have compressed sound, a lot of Pressure Sounds releases have the same too.
It doesn't mean that the sound is bad, it's just compressed and a few dynamics for the ears.

We can grab Lp's for a few money with those labels but sound quality is not here, originals are expensives and rare...
I'm happy to listen to them but when you grab an original, ears can feel it quickly. Compressed with heavy bass ....

Just check some records on those labels here : http://dr.loudness-war.info/album/list/dr/desc

Whatever you can tell , dynamics wins !

High dynamic compression here , maybe vinyl release must be compressed too (maybe not).
Check this before buying bad sound quality, and beware of those "cash money lovers" labels : http://dr.loudness-war.info/album/view/37508

I'm not trying to hype this edition and I have no plans to sell mine, but seeing as how this is from the original stampers I'm surprised it's not more sought after! I totally lucked out getting this back in the mid 90s so it was the only version I knew
