referencing Times Like These (1999-2006) (CD, Album) C#CD7
One of those rare electro artists that accomplish a very, very demanding task 'maxima cum laude' : creating a consistent, pleasing, interesting full album from A to Z. From opener 'Disco Lunar Module' to the utterly short yet shamelessly swinging closer 'Exit', this features some of the best and amusing electro out there, sometimes misleadingly simple, but always catching your ears within five seconds. Excellent stuff like Phaze Me, La Voix, Rendezvous At Rimini, Hills Of Honolulu, Knockers, Love Explosion 05 and yep, more (damn I just mentioned almost the entire album) never bores and knocks out competition easily. Can be placed amongst the crème de la crème of 2006. - Edited 18 years agoWhile picking this up does not excuse you from searching down Alden's classic 12" singles, it is undoubtedly a necessity, mostly bearing on the inclusion of a new track, Voyagers End. Voyagers End is one of Alden Tyrell's best tracks to date, with a phenomenal synth line that trails off in a magnificent, subdued fashion to create an auditory hallucination effect that is simply breathtaking. Sick, sick work.
