Do you have time to listen to all of this in one sitting? Me neither. I suggest breaking this into 2 albums, the first 14 songs in one album - these are epic (duh, Epica), the others are more pastoral and maybe even more interesting.

Received my copy with warped vinyl (both discs). At least they were not rendered unplayable, but I would have preferred nice flat copies for the best possible listening experience of this fine early Epica album. Guess that's why I try to find releases on heavyweight vinyl (180-200 gram)- a bit less susceptible to warping!

I've got this particular color variant, ordered through Amazon. Sounds great to my ears, and very little surface noise. Perhaps mastered a bit too loudly, but nothing my preamp can't countermand. Solid pressing overall.
Album artwork is all brown with gold. Label: ok lets do vinyl in purple 🙄- Actually bought this album on a mistake. Thought at the time that I was buying the crappy normal edition of Consign to Oblivion. With the normal version, I had to stop listening after 3 songs because of a WTF is this feeling. But I was pleasantly surprised when this album came in the mail and I started playing it last Thursday. Before I knew I had the: was this already side D?? sensation. This orchestral version is a huge improvement as the main lyrics of the songs don't distract you from the instrumental background as happens in the expanded edition.
