Nexus & Blowback – The Cat's Whiskas EP

This pressing seems to lack bass compared to the original. Crisp & clear but not enough bass.

I have the original, it sounds better, more depth and dirtier bassline, dont get me wrong this is not a bad sounding record but definitely room for improvement here. As an oldskool addict i played this side by side with my original Stranger Recordings version, the Stranger Recordings sounded more superior, i'm probably just being boring, that said on a high end system which i played it on, the repress is quieter not by much, less depth. To conclude a good pressing and lovely to see it back, such a fantasic EP overall form the best era 1992. The honest truth playing on an average system these days you may not notice at all, depends on what quality sound you prefer i guess, if you like dirty bass and sound, get the original. Merely my opinion only.

'Totally Cabaged' is an absolutely slamming tune... right up to the Trumpton bit.
At that point it goes to complete rat crap for me.
But before that is so good, it's a must have.
Just mix it out before the silly bit comes along.

Ive come across a few copies of this over the years and they all seem to have the same marks that form a square looking shape across the runout grooves. It must be a pressing issue. Im talking about the white label version.

Until then the most UK style release in terms of Breakbeat on Force Inc - most probably because it was licensed from an UK label. Nevertheless, an awesome kaleidoscope of approaches to breakbeat. For me Totally cabbaged with its stabbing piano and rough amen was the one track from me.

Can anyone tell me the sample in the middle and end of totally cabbaged?

BOSS EP 1992 IN A CAN!

Caught this EP on a Second Hand Record Store in 1999. Till then i never knew Force Inc. is doing breakbeat stuff and was kinda surprised. Anyway, great Happy Hardcore, Breakbeat Piano stuff everyone should lay his hands on if you are into this kind of music.

Seriously one of Force Inc.'s best releases ever!
