Ich habe mich echt gefreut, als ich diese alten "Die Unbekannten"-Sachen zuasammengefasst auf einer LP bekommen hab, "Vinyl-on-demand" sei dank :)
Aber als ich die Patte das erste mal angehört habe, bin ich fast aus den Latschen gekippt!
Keine Ahmumg wer für die Überspielung verantwortlich war, jedenfalls ist da was gehörig schief gegangen:
Die Stücke "Radio War" und "Causalties" sind gegenüber den Original-Platten klanglich total verändert worden. Bei beiden Stücken sind starke Verzerrungen in den Höhen zu hören und die Bassdrum ist verschwunden..irgendwie nur noch zu erahnen! Es klingt insgesamt total blechern, als würde es aus einem rostigen Blecheimer schallen.
Echt schade das ganze. Ich frage mich ob das so beabsichtigt war?- Edited 19 years agoceased recording as "Die Unbekannten" in 1984 and reformed with two new members (Leo Walter & Helmut Wittler of Soif de la Vie) as Shark Vegas. Shark Vegas released a 12" on Factory and TotenKopf Records. In 1987 Walter & Reeder formed "Alien Nation" and released three 12" singles. Walter later went on to record under "Paul Adam Walter" and Reeder produced "Torture", the first album of East German indie band "Die Vision" (in communist East Berlin). He later created the record labels MFS and Flesh and has co-produced together with Corvin Dalek.
