- Amazing album, but very hard to find second hand copies of this vinyl in Australia...so would love a vinyl repress of this from someone like Music On Vinyl.

I was never 100% into this album back in the day, though I knew it had some amazing moments (the Plaid produced tracks stood out especially). Hearing it afresh after several years away it makes a lot more sense. The disjointedness of the production was way ahead of its time. Loving it now.- Edited 20 years agoWhat should be mentioned first of all (and which should have been included on this discogs page) is the producers; PLAID (they produce 4 tracks), ALEC EMPIRE (he produces 2 tracks), DEGO from 4 HERO (he produces 4 tracks)and FELIX (on 'You are heaven sent'). You can't ignore the producers or the quality of their work, which make this a very interesting, diverse and dynamix 2LP. Less dancefloor friendly than her first LP overall, but with the great dancefloor friendly 'No Government', more lounge and downtempo, but with more maturity, better lyrics and delivery by Nicolette & also live aswell as electronic instrumentation...I could go into all of the songs and go on all day, but you'll have to trust me that this is a beautiful album!
- also came as a double pack 2nd cd had about 6 remixes (by roni size, krust, plaid etc) the list of producers on the album reads like a who's who of dance (4 hero, alec empire, plaid et al)
nicolette has a really distinctive voice thats appeared on loads of records (shut up and dance, and massive attack to name 2)
she has just released a new 12" (18 mar 2002)
