This album was a total breath of fresh air in 1990. Or, maybe I was just really opening up to a variety of music at the time (I was 19). Depeche Mode's "Violator" ruled my universe, but I also discovered Nine Inch Nails and Nitzer Ebb, and was obsessed with the new Pet Shop Boys album, "Behaviour". Then, from out of nowhere, came Deee-Lite! Everything they did just sounded COOL, effortless and fun!

"World Clique" has so much to offer beyond the obvious (and deserving) classic hit single, "Groove Is In The Heart". "What Is Love?", "E.S.P.", "Try Me On" and "Who Was That?" are also among my personal favorites, but there's no filler here - every track is worth listening to.

Love this album so much and just happy to have a copy in my collection. The Deee-Lite theme and Build the bridge are gravely missed though 🥺

Good sound overall. Some really good deep house like tracks that surprised me given groove is in the heart is their popular track. A good listen overall.

I don't know if this was digitally sourced or not, but it sounds great. Quiet in between tracks and lots of dynamics.

Highly disappointed with this pressing. "Good beat" is a good example: has lots of bass (too much, in fact) but lack of midrange and the voice is too distant, seems like coming from another room. The comparison with the 12" single is like water and wine, but 12" singles normally have more dynamics and detail so that could be unfair. So, I've bought the "Music on vinyl" pressing and everything is gone to it's right place which did nothing more than confirm my first impressions: this is a version for partying (if you are looking for booming bass) but that's all.

Amazing sound and quality. Sounds as crisp as a modern day recording. They did great with this reissue. These more obscure albums from the early 90’s never get the justice they deserve, so I wasn’t expecting much. I was pleasantly surprised though! This is as good as you can get!

Power of Love in 7 version is better than the album version. Groove is one of my favourite Good Beat 1990

I've owned the original CD version of this album since it was first released, so I know it very well. I'm very impressed with this vinyl pressing by MOV. It sounds clear and very clean with no pops, crackles or other artifacts. I think the sound is more "relaxed" and not as in-your-face when compared to the CD, so it doesn't feel as fatiguing. This is a very pleasant-sounding and detailed pressing, so you're not missing anything except the munching noises at the end of "Who Was That?"

Can't believe I bought this without realizing it omits the Deee-Lite Theme. Total bummer! Guess it was never on the wax though? Record sounds great otherwise though, can't complain about the rest of the program :)
