- Edited one year agoIt's worth noting that the Bass Construction "Dance With Power (Remix)" appears to be exclusive to this album. It does not appear on the "Dance With Power (Remixes)" EP released by Elicit, and is only available on the "Rave II" compilation as far as I am aware. Which is a shame as it's a much more uplifting version from the other mixes and features an excellent hoover melody that makes you want to throw shapes.
The compilation on a whole is a perfect snapshot of 1992 rave music (with the exception of "We Are I.E. which came out the previous year). It showcases a variety of Top 40 rave hits and some more underground hardcore classics. Including Acen's " Close Your Eyes (Optikonfusion!l"), Shut Up & Dance's " The Green Man", Tronik House's "Up Tempo (Reese Mix)" and the severely underated " I Think I Want Some More" by Auto-Logic.
It's a shame that the last few tracks are edited to allow 16 to fit on the album, especially as The House Crew's "Maniac (Hypermix)" has yet to see a digital release, but it's a great little compilation all round.
