- Just picked it up on an Amazon sale. Came really dusty, but after a clean it sounds flawless. I agree with the other poster who things that CD is probably the better format and this is a little too low volume. But otherwise really nice pressing.
- Got this on Amazon for $16. What a steal! Sounds very impressive on my Rega P6, Hana MH, Denon 4800h, Musical Surroundings Nova iii phono preamp.
- I had a little problem getting it out because it had an amount of static that I had never seen on an LP, but a bath of isopropyl alcohol solved the problem. Very good recording, by the way.
- I went through two copies of this: the first came horribly warped, the second was flat but full of bad scratches, scuffs, lots of repeating pops and clicks. It’s a shame though because when I wasn’t listening to the clicks the quality of the music itself was okay, slightly better than the CD. I find it ironic that these Czech pressings proudly present the “Made in Czech Republic” like a badge of honor, but it’s more like a badge of shame…
- Edited 5 months agoAll I can say it's that.... I'm very disappointed with this LP. Not the greatest packaging ever, but it "kinda" works. The master sounds great, however it constantly pops and, in my case, skips on 3 tracks: On "Supermassive Black Hole", on "Map of the Problematique" and on "Exo-Politics". If that horrible vinyl had skipped on "Knights of Cydonia", I probably would have lost my mind and blown that s**t up! Plaza Independencia... You're already on my blacklist...
- Sounds great - little to no pops - most likely a good cleaning will resolve it. New records need cleaning too :)
Listened on a Technical SL1200MKII with Ortofon 2M Blue, through Fosi Audio Box X3 Tube preamp / Pioneer VSX-1120 flat, through a pair of Pioneer SP-BS22A-LR Andrew Jones speakers. - Great album, decent pressing. I can hear some inner groove distortion, but I turned the volume and bass up on my preamp which kind of fixed it. There is also very little space between the start of the grooves and edge of the record. Overall it’s a mediocre pressing but still 100% worth it to have on vinyl.

My copy sounds very bad on the A face, like very compressed. For example on Map of the problematique the voices are saturated and crispy. But side B sounds good. - Why or how Muse would ever consider releasing ANY of their albums on a single disc is just mind blowing to me. Their albums are far too long, loud, contain too many individual instrument tracks per song, and compressed to even trying to fit it all on one side. The last three songs on each side sound like trash due to above mentioned issues. I knew I would be disappointed, but not this much.
