Controlled Bleeding – Body Samples

one of my fav. early CB records. unlike "Knees and Bones" this one has more variety in sound structure. i like the shift from more ambiant stuff to the wall of noise sections ,, even some weird rhythmic electro sections and guitar riffage at the end of one side . Thats CB , not a one trick pony. recommended . 4 stars.

I was about to write nearly the same review like Philosopher, but I want to add a few words.
You sure must be a hardcore "Industrial nerd" to enjoy this record...It's exactly like said before...walls of screeching noises, screaming with maximum distortion and overall totally dismembered sounds of some stuff that once was something like...uh...music. :) Nearly no structure or composition at all..
What brings down the count in my opinion is the fact that this noise terror sounds really crappy when played from vinyl...I mean it. The analogue system is clearly not capable of capturing the hellish mess with accuracy and control. I sat through the whole record and had to turn down the level because of all the hissing and nonlinear distortion...really really a painful attack on the ears. I like the records with a little more musical stuff better.
You really want to end this party....? Play this sucker. :)

One of the more extreme Controlled Bleeding records. For those who may not have had the experience, extreme in the Controlled Bleeding realm means crazed impenetrable walls of noise. Swirling and suffocating masses of screeching, blasting madness. Really it has to be heard to be believed. Very rare LP of course. Play Loud.
