Metro Area.. They've always managed to keep me amazed. I think that a lot of people came into contact through Miura. Most people I know at least all scream 'Miura!' when I ask them if they know Metro Area.
After some time I managed to get my hands on a couple of vinyls, but I have the 15th Anniversary Edition digitally and what a killer album. Tunes like Soft Hoop, Strut and Caught up are my absolute favorites. It's so playful and creative.
Soft Hoop lifts you up, gives you creative energy and makes you bob your head. The vocoder type vocals sound as if there are audible sentences in the vocals, I like to think I hear specific sentences but I also believe everyone will hear something different, so I'll keep it to myself in the hopes of you hearing something unique to you :)
Strut is perfect to play while walking through the water along the beach on a summers day while you dancewalk while watching the sunset.
Caught up has a beautiful piano part at the end of the track around the 6:25 mark. It brings the whole setup of the entire track to a beautiful conclusion. The entire track feels like a buildup to some type of embracing emotion. The instruments work together like songbirds. And the piano is the most beautiful bird who gets to wish you goodbye and have a pleasant stay here on earth <3referencing Metro Area (3×12", 33 ⅓ RPM, Album, Reissue, Remastered, 15th Anniversary Edition) ENVLP00215

Just bought this and firstly...wow..this could almost immediately be one of the best pressings I now own. Everything is just so perfectly balanced, instrumentation crystal clear and low end nice and deep and rich. Secondly, I've added poly inners to the cardboard inners to retain the pristine vinyl and I can get them back in just fine by turning them around lol can't believe how many people have commented that they can't get the records in. So so glad to have this in my collection. It'll sit proudly up there as one of my faves in the "dance" section.- Edited one year ago

Echoing what others have said below here but unreal pressing of arguably one of the greatest dance records of all time. A true classic done right, no doubt. - Edited one year ago

The sleeve's width is technically large enough to fit 3 records in, but I suppose the cardboard innersleeves add too much thickness which makes it hard to fit all of them back in.
Great album otherwise, good sound quality and very happy to have it as some of the tracks were left out on the original vinyl release of the album. referencing Metro Area (3×12", 33 ⅓ RPM, Album, Reissue, Remastered, 15th Anniversary Edition) ENVLP00215
I don't know what people's issue with the sleeves is, mine are fine. Better than that though, this pressing is wonderful, very impressed with the sound and definitely one of the better electronic pressings in my collection.- Edited 2 years ago

Difference between angry and happy people in this thread is that happy people turn the records 90 degrees counterclockwise before they put them back into the cover referencing Metro Area (3×12", 33 ⅓ RPM, Album, Reissue, Remastered, 15th Anniversary Edition) ENVLP00215
Astonishing Pressing, totally rediscovering this classic piece of fine electronic music! Great grooves and ladscapes! The cover is largelly big enough to have all the 3 records fitting inside. You'll not get disapointed!referencing Metro Area (3×12", 33 ⅓ RPM, Album, Reissue, Remastered, 15th Anniversary Edition) ENVLP00215
Picked this up in 2020. It is sounding superb. Deep, rich bass. Clean crisp hi-hats. This has never sounded so good. I’ve been listening to this since it’s initial release albeit on mp3 formats. So happy to finally own it in vinyl. No problems fitting all 3 vinyl sleeves into the cover.referencing Metro Area (3×12", 33 ⅓ RPM, Album, Reissue, Remastered, 15th Anniversary Edition) ENVLP00215
No download code included but vinyl fits perfectly in sleeves and with paper sleeve. Excellent rich bass for my listening vs digital downloads from amazon. Happy to own it!
