Sade – Stronger Than Pride

Side A plays perfectly, sounds clean and pristine and gorgeous. Side B has a few clicks and a skip in the last track. Otherwise this is a great sounding press, nothing outstanding but very well made

Very good pressing. Side one does have some very subtle crackle and disturbances. This is most likely due to having almost 25 minutes of music on one side. I recall 3 ticks on A4 and some crackles at the first minute of A1. other than that it's a fantastic pressing.

This is a nice pressing although I had it replaced by Acoustics Sounds. First one had blotches and thumps. Soundwise, I don't think this mastering is better than the original CD though. I usually give the nod to the vinyl but not this time. A little darker sounding. Also, the jacket and label say nothing about half speed mastering. But it is the White Epic label. Perhaps it is some groove squeezing on 33.

Flat, clean, quiet. A fine pressing.

Sound is decent. The side lengths would benefit from double 45rpm treatment as the bass and soundstage would grow. But given the limits of 33rpm here theres no nasties and it still sounds good if not spectacular.

One of the most beautifully soft and elegant albums ever created. Completely transports you into a world of sun, simpleness, and innocent romance. Despite my background with music being predominately electronic and rock, it's albums like this I would limitedly take with me to a deserted island.

Hmm, well my copy sounds perfect. No surface noise, and the mastering sounds dynamic and amazing. The first 3 Sade represses are all flawless, so I'm really looking forward to Love Deluxe next. Anyone claiming the original pressings sound better must be Ferengi...

I have two copies of this record.

First copy I have is warped. So skips on both sides. However half of the songs get to spin in time and boy o boy, it sounds so warm, yet punchy. Rich sounds, made me really really appreciate this album.

Because of this, I decided to get another copy and this copy isn’t warped but the opposite of the other. Volume was low, noisy and dull.

Mind you, these are old records so several factors could be at play here.
