This release lacks dynamics, even when compared to the current Spotify master. I would be surprised if this was cut from a notorious source.

Not sure of the audio source but this is lovingly remastered. I was surprised, not being familiar with the title, I took a chance. It was well worth the leap of faith. Beautiful production by Deodato and great accompaniment by Stanley Turrentine. The actual highlight for me is the instrumental version of Vera Cruz. Gilberto is a very limited singer but she finds herself in very accommodating musical settings that make this a very enjoyable and relaxing listen. It's very early 70s sounding...leading to a nice mixture of jazz and pop, an early forerunner of the easy listening format. However, don't get it twisted - every player has real chops on display and it's all enveloped in the CTI sheen. Worth checking out.

How does this pressing sound? Is it cut from the analog tape?

Very nice music. But this version sounds really muddy;
but suits the boss nova charme from that time, so still a decent listening experience.

I have a copy (CTI 6008, STEREO) with a light blue cover, does anyone have more information on this, as the others appear to have black covers?

Does anybody elses copy of this LP misspell her name on the spine? Mine says "Astrid Gilberto with Stanley Turrentine" instead of "Astrud"...Just Curious
