Daze came hot on the heels of Aqua's mega-selling "Barbie Girl". While Aqua had a cartoon'ish look, Daze opted for a more extraterrestrial/space theme, which was also evident in the group's songs such as "Tamagotchi" and "Superhero". Daze also had competition from fellow Danish acts Hit 'n' Hide and Toy-Box, whose albums never could reach the success of their respective singles. Daze' 'Super Heroes' album has stood the test of time, and while it obviously does sound very 90's, the production is not as dated and amateurish as its competitors. Together with Aqua's 'Aquarium' it's among the best Eurodance albums ever released.
