No issues with skipping on my Project Carbon Debut Evo, but the bass seems too heavy, that's why I give it 4 stars. Great selection of songs though. Also, the color is really a transparent yellow, not gold.

Of course, the title track is standout and absolutely a timeless classic of the garage rock/surf genres. The rest is strong surf music, but nothing reaches the oddity that is Surfin' Bird.

This is a shockingly great sounding pressing, no clue who mastered it, who cut it, who anything'd it, but it smokes in true mono. Bravo. Pick it up.

I have the gold vinyl pressing and have not had any issues with skipping. I have a Pro-Ject Debut CarbonEsprit SB with an ortofon red cartridge.

Does anyone have further information on this? Runout, colors of labels and fonts? What makes it distinguishable from https://www.discogs.com/The-Trashmen-Surfin-Bird/release/5718727? Is the cover "one-part" as the 1964 release (whatever that means exactly, can't really see on the photos). Thanks!

Yeah this sucks. I'd hoped the other reviews were wrong, but I just got a brand new sealed copy and it skipped and slid right through Surfin' Bird. The next song seemed to be playing okay, but no Surfin' Bird...no dice! Two thumbs down.

That's right, unfortunately the entire gold edition has multiple technical defects, at least on the A-side because of a bad matrix. Did see the first comment too late and spent almost 30 bucks on a useless piece of junk. :-( :-(
