referencing Glow (2×LP, Album) Superstition 2074
Too bad the sax part is cheesy on 'Sub - C', the bassline is ace tho- "Glow" is one of Mijk van Dijk's weaker works - which means that it's still a pretty solid release. Mijk van Dijk is at his best, whe he creates tracks that evolve and release lots of energy in the end. "Schoneberg" (Marmion), "Wild Life" and nearly all his titles released under the artist name "Mijk's Magic Marble Box" fit into this category. Sadly, the music on "Glow" has those climaxes missing. The titles often feel like the real thing will kick in every minute - but it doesn't. Make no mistake though: All tracks are typical works of Mijk van Dijk. You just hear it in the way they are arranged and mixed and harmonies are used. But when I listen to a Mijk van Dijk record, I expect a little more energy.
