This record is tangible documentation of how Miami's Electro transformed into Miami Bass. It begins like so many other Pretty Tony productions with solids beats, quality vocoders and nice synths. However, at the break down 3/4 of the way through, something new happens--An 808 breakdown. Up to 1986, this was the most anticipated breakdown in Miami's Electro/Bass history and the buzz it created set off an entirely new type of music in the 305. Other Miami producers would seek out this same type of breakdown anticipation, such as Clay D. with "Clay D. Get Funky" and "Boot the Booty." Soon enough, producers, DJs, and fans would ask the most critical question of all: WHO SAID WE HAVE TO WAIT FOR THE BREAKDOWN??? Let's make the whole fuckin' song thump!

If you don't own this one, pick it UP!
