This sounds really good for live recordings form the 50s. Some tracks sound better than others, some hollow sounding bass on some tracks but over all it's pretty decent. Vocals are clear and distinct and you can feel the growl of wolfs voice. Sounds like an old blues pressing should so I think this is a good release .referencing Best Of The Sun Records Sessions (LP, Compilation, Limited Edition, Mono, Blue) ORGM-2071
Don't get ripped off by the flippers! Go to your local Barnes & Noble and pick this up for about $25.
This is a great collection of Howlin' Wolf songs. A solid introduction to those unfamiliar, and a nice "hits" collection for fans. The blue vinyl is absolutely beautiful. The mastering is pretty damn good, despite the large volume of songs on each side.
Overall, I'm incredibly satisfied with this record.
