Tight version with India's vocals, classic song as good as the original version in my opinion...and also a MAW record. Flipside has the instrumental mix. Recent dig find!

This is an excellent cover of a disco classic by the famous New York duo Masters at Work, with India on vocals. It was originally made for the motion picture "The Last Days of Disco", which featured a full disco soundtrack, most of which were songs from the days of disco, but this one was made specifically for the movie. Anyway, the Maw 12" mix is really great, India's vocals are great, and the beat is excellent. I think I like it more than the original song by Alicia Bridges. The Sylk 130 Hands in the Air Remix on the other hand is pretty bad, it takes the vocals and turns them down, then overlays them over some off-beat piano.

Overall, the MAW 12" mix is the way to go!

I believe that this single was originally produced for the soundtrack of the movie The Last Days Of Disco.

Overall, a disappointing release.... I don't think that India's vocals really do justice to the Disco original. Cutting her out of the mix on the instrumental really improves things, allowing MAW's production skills to shine through and prevent the record from being a total waste.
