Deep House and Future Jazz blended into a fine mix, a bit too much vocal over the top, but why should I complain when it is done as well as here.

I bought this when it came out and instantly love it too bits! I was living in Newcastle studying and have really fond memories of that time. It was one of those albums played late night / early mornings after being out and coming back home to chill with friends after the club. Good times.

Gorgeous record with some real gems on here. I wish more deep house were this detailed and musical.

So so good. This and Timewriters 'Jigsaw Pieces' are probably my fav albums from this genre.

Charles Webster has always been one of the quieter, unsung heroes of house music, and his album _All Systems Gone_ as Presence proves this amply. Right from the start, the deep and smoothly hopeful "Future Love" shows his strength in songcrafting. The overall mood of the album is melancholy, though some spots of brightness shine through: the heavenly choir on "Been 2 Long" or the upbeat pep of “Better Day.” But he’s at his best with his mixture of sadness and rhythm. The curious mix of longing and romance finds its perfect soundtrack with "Your Spirit." Herbert's influence shows heavily on "Matter of Fact," which sounds exactly like a Herbert track circa _Around the House_ -- not a bad thing, but not necessarily unique either. “Sense of Danger,” featuring powerhouse vocals from Shara Nelson, shows a stronger feel for Webster’s style. The stolid “Far Far Away From My Heart” closes out the album on a steady beat. Really gorgeous.

No deep house dish has come even close to this....Charles Webster's delicious opus that floats and drifts along like some melodic slow motion raft in deep aquamarine waters. Deep house is so often boring...but this is compelling from start to end. Beautiful music, programmed and laboured over and replete with quality vocals. 5 star work.

Charles Webster - under the guise of "Presence" has created an album for the head and heart, the songs strike chords of deep emotion that never lose direction or substance. Just lay back and enjoy a musical journey of melodic moods, and sublime deep house. All Systems Gone includes the vocal talents of Steve Edwards,Shara Nelson, and Sara Jay which shine through and complete the unique sound of Presence.

A quality Deeeeeeeep long-player from Mr Webster.
Some tracks wouldn't go amiss in a club, but overall this one is for the armchair/couch.
Very melodical and moody - superb release.
