- This 24-bit remaster, coming 38 years after its debut, sounds great. The clarity, dynamics, and mix are perfect. There's no ear daggers or boomy bass to contend with. I can't find any faults at all. Many of these songs ended up on the epic Budokan live album, and when I play this album I have an overwhelming compulsion to play the Budokan album as these songs just don't have the same energy. Not to take away from this great album.

One of their better Albums in my opinion - More flowing musically - easy to listen to- This pressing, if found in good condition, is the best this album has ever, or probably will ever sound. As I write this it’s not too hard to find a good one, though prices on Discogs are creeping up. Sounds excellent
- You’ll know from the first 5 seconds this is the pressing you need. Drum and bass clarity really the star here… and of course all the songs you love already. KG mastered and well pressed, too.
- This version sounds great. It's big and bold with a lot of energy. The midrange and bass are in your face. I own all of Cheap Trick's earlier records and this one is by far the best sounding of them all. It doesn't hurt that the songs are great too.
- Top-notch recording, mix & mastering combined with a nice pressing job provides one wicked-punchy sounding LP. This sucker begs to be played LOUD...
- Is this the Steve Albini mix? You should get it even if it isn't. Nobody mixed punko craziness with pure pop sensibility and tongue in cheek metal thunder like this before (and still haven't). This is smoother than the first album on purpose. The label bigwigs thought the songs needed to come before the personality. It's a problem CT would return to again and again. Songs vs Attitude.

My favorite of the early Cheap Trick. Solid tracks from start to finish on a full-sounding pressing. The studio “I Want You to Want Me” is an interesting contrast to the better known live version. It’s more intimate — almost a love song— compared to the raucous Budokan take. - Edited 3 years agoWhen i listen to and watch Cheap trick perform Southern Girls in the Don Kirchner rock concert video [1977] I ask: Would there be a Green Day without Cheap Trick? I used to think Green Day was original. No Cheap Trick was the original.
For this brief moment Cheap Trick hit perfection and thats not something many bands can say. - Excellent pressing! Sounds awesome! Get a copy if you can find one.
I will say this is my first Audio Fidelity pressing. When I first opened it the "virgin vinyl" didn't look very impressive. Very streaky and discolored. After a thorough cleaning on a VPI Cyclone it was immaculate. Lays perfectly flat. Awesome pressing! Will definitely look for more Audio Fidelity pressings!
