Powerful press with a great sound! But I got it warped, kurva!!!! A must, if you like this band!- While the self-titled debut will always be my favorite, I think this is an under-appreciated gem from the NJ boys. The album goes in many unexpected directions and shows the genius of the band's songwriters. The presentation here is very well done, a nice even soundstage with a bit of punch. I love the red vinyl too. This is definitely worthy of being in any fan of this era of music's collection.
- Edited 2 years agoPicked it up and the first disc has a wobbly warp in it that causes distortion on the tracks (noticeable in the quiet/silent bits/ Second disc is perfect. Waiting to hear from BM on what they're able to do. Will update.
Overall the album sounds fantastic. So glad to be able to hear this on vinyl!
Update: Got a second copy shipped by Bull Moose. Also slightly warped but no distortion. - Picked this up on a whim at my local record shop - I'd never heard the album in order. What a treat! Such a great album and this is a great pressing, no noise issues at all for me.
- Edited 2 years agoThe mix is totally different on some songs than I am used to from years of listening to the cd. Listen to No Better Place- the jangly guitar part is completely buried.
- The sound quality for this one is great. There are many great tunes on this album, so I highly recommend getting this one!
- Mine sounds like realllly bad-like streaming sounds better bad. Zero dynamics, distortion all over higher register, thought my needle was busted and had to check that it was not. I think I got a fucked up pressing? Gonna return it.
