Linkin Park – One More Light

Very very low background noise throughout the record. Incredible sound quality, but the packaging could be better. The plastic protecting the cover was so thin that it unfortunately ripped when I was opening the record. The lyric sheet also doesn't look durable, and it's made of a very low quality paper.

One of the absolutely worst record pressings I've ever heard, got a sealed copy. Just don't bother with this one, for anyone wondering I'm using a Technics SL-1210GR, an Ortofon 2M Red, a NAD Phono Preamp PP2i and a Yamaha MG10XU Mixer.

Such a fantastic record, it aches to remember these times after the release but I keep in mind that we were honoured to experience this work. Beautiful songs, great sound, no surface noise neither any skips noticed!

You see these comments before Chesters death, then you see the ones from afterwards, and go “wow, everything is appreciated from this band”.

My pressing sounds fantastic. Very crisp sound and very little to no surface noise. The jacket is pretty thin and a little underwhelming, though, it does have a nice booklet inside. I'm very happy with this production. The album itself seems to have created quite the controversy among LP fans, and while it is very different, I enjoy it.

I feel like this album was somewhat of a hint to how Chester was feeling. I wonder did anyone take the time to listen?

I love this album. A great mix of Guitars, electronic sounds, and deep lyrics while still staying uplifting.

One More Light is honestly a major disappointment, but I guess that's par for the course with Linkin Park albums. I'm head-over-heels for their older music, but I've noticed a gradual decline in my enjoyment of their music since Minutes to Midnight. I understand that bands change, but how does such a talented band with an amazing style turn to cookie-cutter, textbook definition pop? I see people using the lyrics to justify the style, but a) deep lyrics don't equal quality and b) lyrics aren't the only aspect of a song. Anyway, that's just my opinion. You're free to enjoy the album if you can; I won't try to take that away from anyone.
