Madison Babe From Outta Space Remix - Disco Babes remix was really good and still sounds decent nowreferencing Don't Call Me Baby (12", 33 ⅓ RPM) 667509 6
The "Madison Babe From Outer Space" is a bootleg-turned-legit update which originated from this white label. One obvious difference between the two is that the white label version uses all the vocals from the song, whereas the legit version (for whatever reason) repeats the first verse in place of where the second verse should be.referencing Don't Call Me Baby (CD, Single) VG12005R
Sanity music excursive track (7). Australian release.- Edited one year agoThe UK release on Virgin/VC of "Don't Call Me Baby" added mixes by Armin van Buuren and a mash-up with Babe Instinct. van Buuren's remixes are very much sonically channeling the sounds of Olav Basoski which Buuren had been working with on various projects.
The Stalker Mix pulls the original into a more melodic direction while still retaining the Pino D'angio bassline. Kicks off with a sample of a telephone ringing and a woman picking up asking "Hello?" working the underlining theme. The Dub is much harder beat-wise and in bass-line, it removes the Pino D'Angio Bassline for the most part and the tempo seems faster. It also incorporates some scratching samples and it's a good counterpart to the main remix.
The Madison Babe... version is a mash-up remix that extends the original of "Disco Babes From Outta Space" and works in Cheyne Coates' Vocals, it's not anything special but it's decent anyways. - The Dronez Old School Vocal Mix really is superb. It was always the best mix of this track, but for some reason, never used to get much club play back in the day. The Dronez strip the cheese back to make the track a real weighty groove. The vocals, i've always liked. They suit the Dronez instrumentation really well and sit on the groove nicely. Theres some lovely "check this out" samples that just finish the whole package off. Very very good remix.
- This single is one of the best for House. One can hear the Original 7" Mix on the album Fired Up! which is where I first heard it. When I went to a Sounds Familiar music shop, I saw this single there for $5.33. I was lucky enough to get it for $5.00, thanks to the shop's owner. The Original 12" Mix is an extended version of the 7" Mix. It is great for a club mix. The Dub is extraordinary. The Alexander Purkart Meets The Plastic Park Remix is ok; it reminds me of the genre of French House. The Dronez Old School Vocal Mix is a great Mix. Overall, this single is very good and is worth getting if you are into classic House songs from the late 1990's.

Infectious sample, funky driven Disco beat, corny lyrics: the classic Madison Avenue formula! With "Don't Call Me Baby", their first single, the Australian duo made it into every club of this world. The remixes on this release are all very good: the Dronez team do a superb job by removing the Pino D'Angio sample, replacing it with "rustic" old school components that are very enjoyable to the ear. Alexander Purkart 's version is a very nice pumping cut up work with an European Techno touch. The original dub will please any person annoyed by the lyrics since much of it is instrumental, with a few cool little loops that are not on the original 12" vocal version.
