referencing Norman Bates (7", 45 RPM, Single) RCA 60
I bought this version when it was released. There was a fault with the pressing in that the hole in the middle was slightly deformed causing a bump to protrude on the B side. This meant that when you tried to play the A side, the record was uneven causing the stylus to jump. I took the record back to the store where I bought it and it was found that all of the copies they held had the same issue.referencing Norman Bates (7", 45 RPM, Single) RCA 60
A note on the different versions of this song:
The album version is 5:08 complete with full narration.
The 7" and 12" version is 3:47 and is subtly remixed with a different intro, slightly more exaggerated stereo separation and the only difference between the 7" and 12" is there is no narration on the 12".
After 9 unique bars it is essentially bars 23 to 94 of the album version with a fadeout.
On the 7" the narration starts 8 bars sooner and is shorter - it misses out 8 bars in the middle as well as the final 8 bars of the album version.
