So, Fuckpony might be forbidden to name in polite company, but his music on CHILDREN OF LOVE more than makes up for it with the deep and odd house of the title track or the warped, subdued soul of "Ride the Pony." These tracks aren't meant to be club pounders, but seem better suited for late-night vibes, like the electric funk of "Silence" or the low sounds of "It's Only Music." Haze like to play with hip-hop samples, stripping them of context and re-situating them. The deep approach returns on "Get Pony" with some tribal percussion or the dark "Mafalda," while "Bongo Porn" goes full-on bizarre. "Draft" takes the album out with a spacious note, grounded, as always, with the beat. Even your children will love this.

This album is a true gem!!! Some of the best stuff that Get Physical has released. Some of the best stuff that Jay Haze has has done as well in my opinion. Very consistent throughout. They venture into every room in the 'house' and even the attic and basement on this one! Haze and Samim really touch on a lot of Chicago, acid and vocally stuff that envokes memories of past warehouse raves. Top quality production!! Essential!!
