2016 and 2019 reissues seem to use the same source and as a result have the same blatant sonic defects: Excessive low pass filtering causes a significantly changed hihat sound, less airy synth pad and a dull, muffled bass-synth. While even one of the YouTube-videos of the original is going up till 16 kHz, the reissues have not much left above 13 kHz. In spectral view, some missing frequencies in equal distances become visible, so some phase cancellation is going on as well, confirming a slight suspicion I had while listening. Moreover, the attack of the kick is completely lost (presumably from automated de-clicking), as well as 4 bars from the first 8 bars, which have been cut out in cold blood without any compensation. Seriously, they could have at least copied the remaining ones into place to retain the full song length.
An extremely disappointing reissue. An obvious cash in with no respect for the music or the music lovers. I recommend ripping the YT-video. Or save some money for the original. They are worlds apart.

Save your cash for the Italian 1st pressing. This one is sonically stunted. One day I hope for a proper re-issue of this classic to make it affordable to everyone.

Does anyone know if there are plans to reissue this on heavy weight black vinyl? I certainly can’t afford the original pressing but would live to get my hands on a high quality reissue!

My copy sounds ok. A little muddy on the mids to highs but no major problems like with the usual coloured vinyl releases. You can usually judge these by the spaces in the music, not much noise certainly not at the annoying levels (depends on your ears mine are 50 years old). The intro has a hiss on each rotation but it goes away. Sound level is loud enough and good enough to play on any club or decent bar system.

My black copy sounds fine all the way through on both sides. Maybe a little loud on the surface noise but all in all good.

Terrible pressing. Bought a sealed copy, but first playthrough revealed a persistent rhythmic crackle throughout entire duration of side 1.

got the blue version: mixed-up center labels, and honestly quite disappointing sound quality... pretty weak for an item with such a high retail price :/
