The Green Velvet mix sounds kinda like an offshoot of Flash

My only disappointment that this CD Maxi doesn't include the "Day by Day (DJ Sneak mix 2)" wonder why that mix was left out? Overall the mixes are amazing and Maxi has 2 mixes of Get up off Me. CD to treasure.

Odd release that looks like a bootleg/white label, but is actually an official Cajual release. As stated by other users, the B-side seems to have random tracks pressed onto it. On my particular copy I have the A-side to MC Hammer's "Please Hammer Don't Hurt 'Em" lp. No joke! My guess is that there were some leftover unsold lp's lying around and it was decided to use them to press and release this single (ala Larry Sherman who was notorious for "recycling" old vinyl).

The tracks themselves are what you would expect from DJ Sneak and the general House sound around this time. Nothing too spectacular, but worth picking up for a few bucks. If anything you get a nice random surprise on the B-side :o)

Mine has seemingly random tracks on the b-side. Anyone else have a copy like this?

This record is hit or miss, I agree. The CC mix does suck, one of the very few bad things he's actually done. And the Deep Dish mixes are kind of blah and noodley, to use your term. Curtis' mixes as Cajmere are pretty good...merely so. BUT, the Chez and Ron mixes, while not in the league of their Prescription classics, are KILLER deep house tracks, especially the DUB, and Curtis does his usual GV magic that is guaranteed dance floor gold. Three great tracks here.

Sorry to hate, but for the talent on these two records this is a massive let down. Carl Craigs weird and abrasive, Chez & Ron are just bland and noodley unfortunately.

Chaz 'N' Trent (Anthony Pearson, Ron Trent) mixes are classy, melodic efforts. Deep Dish's 18th Street mix features uplifting and anthem synths. Cajmere's extended mix is amazing; it has several phrases like a symphony, culminating with the "somebody get up" overture. The Green Velvet mix has banging machine gun snares and an electric guitar riff combined in Relief Record style tech-house. Carl Craig's tracky mix uses a looped sample from Steely Dan's "Peg." Any way you want to look at it this is a deep and beautiful set of remixes of Dajae's Day By Day.
