(By the way, this isn't a review as such; more of a comment.) I've only just realised (after reading the DJ T-1000 bio on this site: https://www.discogs.com/artist/1108-DJ-T-1000) - that this was marketed as a compilation. Alan Oldham references "Progress", out in 1999, as his first full-length LP. So be it. But if "A Pure Sonik Evening" really was intended as a compilation of EPs and other previously released stuff, it still comes across remarkably well as a cohesive whole. As for the music, it's possibly a better representation of DJ T-1000's late-1990s uncompromising bangin' style than "Progress". But go ahead and decide for yourself.
