Anyone know if the remaster sounds better than the original?- One of my favorites from back in the day, luckily found a copy at my local shop for $14. Had no idea it was a limited press. I will second what the previous person said about the quality though, both discs look mint but have a light warp and "Swans" especially has VERY sibilant vocals. Still, very happy to own a copy, absolutely love the album
- This album turned 10 years old this year...was hoping they'd do a reissue by now but one can still hope.
- Diamonds and crew at their absolute best and most whimsical. While 2013 to present Islands are more accessible sounding indie-pop this is their "swan" song. Their epic. Their most prolific and unique. Probably one of my favorite and most brilliant records I have. I'm partial of course.
- This is one of my favorite records of all time. I don't think there's a bad song on the record. I'm not sure how this band (or the Unicorns for that matter) never made it big. Such great song writing and creativity from these guys! After having the mp3 for years, I'm happy to have one of the 500 vinyl copies!
- Edited 9 years agoI just realized I have one of the 500 copies on white... didn't realize it was that limited. If I'm being honest I think this is probably the worst sounding record that I own. I think it's probably a bad pressing... very sibilant.... swanssssss... swansssssss I like the actual music so much but every time I put this on it just makes me angry.
Edit: I think it's just the recording that's sibilant.
